Stuart McMillan highlights importance of supporting local businesses during Scotland Loves Local Week 2026

Stuart McMillan MSP for Inverclyde visited Vino by Tonino in Gourock as part of Scotland Loves Local Week (13-20 June 2026), celebrating the vital role local businesses play in his constituency.

During the visit, Stuart met with Tony and staff to learn more about his new wine bar following the success of Tonino’s in Greenock.

Stuart said:

“Local businesses are the backbone of our communities, providing jobs, services, and a unique identity to our town centres. Scotland Loves Local Week is a fantastic opportunity to recognise their importance and encourage people to support businesses on their doorstep.

“It was a pleasure to visit Vino by Tonini and hear how popular the wine bar is with customers. With my office being based next door to Toninos, I know how much people love Tony’s pizza, so it’s great that his new venture has also received lots of support.

“In Gourock and across Inverclyde, we have so many unique food and drink vendors who offer something for everyone to enjoy.

“Hospitality plays a huge part in our small business economy, so I want to thank all the local businesses for the part they play in supporting the health of our high streets.”
